I was stuck on what to watch next (anything to keep procrastinating on my project...AHHH D: this is terrible~ and i have a deadline now!-- before i move) so eventually i chose Teen Titans.
After watching a bit, i realized that i've only seen like, ONE season. wow. i think the whole, 'anime expressions' (but w/o the anime humor/art, is TOTALLY lame and out of place -_-;;) really put me off. but the stores are pretty good, tho.
**spoilers for season 2 ahead**
My recent rant is how STUPID terra is. like fo'serious, why would anyone like her? she actually didn't do anything really that redeeming for her to become 'a true friend' after she was controlled by slade. First of all, she went and backstabbed the Titans BEFORE she was all body-controlled by slade. it wasn't like robin, who started working for slade AFTER his friends were all probed. she made a clear choice, for whatever reason (cuz he helped her learn how to control her powers) that she would go thru w/ letting them get invaded the first time (in the T tower).
She's such a whiner! All her reasons to try and kill them/go against them were so lame. 1st time: ahh i'm so embarrassed that you know that i can't control my powers waaahhh run away --- 2nd time: um, well this guy here that was supposedly the bad guy supposedly 'understands me' and taught me how to control my powers, therefore i should listen to what he says and help him spy on them and trap them --- 3rd time: you said i had no friends, so you hurt my feelings (despite me, ya know, destroying your home) so i'm going to kill you, blahblahblahblah whinewhinewhine.
all of this is when she's not being totally/mostly controlled by slade. these are all her own decisions, which are LAME and not worth being superhero-y >:T
anyhow, in the end she apparently 'redeems' herself is not by 'oh, we're doing wrong things, i should stop you' nor 'oh, i'm going to fight for my friends' but MORE because 'i wanna control myself! i'm scared of the Teen titans but you're forcing me to fight, and you can't tell me what to do'
HOW NONE HEROISM IS THAT. D:< *Rage* it's just more whiny-ness!!!
Of course, by her ot killing beast boy, fighting slade, etc etc. she apparently has made some life altering change. PLUS, the real like omfg!facepalm for me is that she sacrifices herself to stop a volcano that she MADE, like, i dunno. -_- not really worth a memorial plaque, imho. town taken over by robots and starts a volcano...i mean, she did get it fixed in the end, but like that's like, not a cool hero at all.it was all kinda so terra-ego-centric that it pissed me off when i was reading comments on how sad it was that she died.
lol
i only feel like rageing cuz after seeing fandom!secrets and ragethreads, i felt left out cuz i have nothing to rage at :(
