  • I'm dreaming for your world~

Mmm so first week of work over @_@...

I haven't written about it since now since after i get home every night from work, I play lego rock raiders  and surfing the net. sorry if i've been MIA, but seems like everyone is anyhoo, because of vacations and summer school...

So anyhoo, to detail more clearly, I applied to work as the "computer help desk technician". I work for a wedding wholesale company, who sell wedding dresses, prom dresses, etc, to bridal shops (the dresses are so pretty! lol, for even me to say that). It's actually a nice-sized company, but as you can see, most of the employees are sales reps/management, customer services, alterations, etc. It runs kinda like how The Office runs, lol, but bigger, of course. But i obviously am part of the computer team, which consisted of one person, who is now my manager (or whatever. I'm his assistant, better said.)

Anyhoo, it seems like i have 2 main to-do jobs, so far, aside from assisting from random computer stuff around the company:

    1) the "point-of-sales" retailer program
My main job is to work on this new custom program that they're going to release to their customers (bridal store retailers) for free, which was built to help stores keep track of all their records and make calculations, etc. At the moment my manager is spending most of his time debugging the program, and I'm testing it out/play around with it and get REALLY familiar with it, so i can tell him what needs to be fixed. Also, I'll be the one answering the calls of all the retailers who have questions about the program. So, in the meanwhile, I'm rewriting the manual so that it looks nice :P

    2) the free websites
Also, the company offers free websites to more loyal customers so i get to deal with those. This is the REALLY easy part of my job, since the website structures have already been built, and i'm just filling in templates...pretty easy. The hard part, i guess, is that this offer has already been released to their customers, so they're the ones calling in at the moment when they have questions, so i have to stutter my way into explaining how they fill in the information and stuff or whatever.

but so ya, that's generally it. probably TL;DR, but whatever. I feel a lot more productive during my week (earning money, w00t!) but definitely does eat up my time. Ah well. mebe when i'm settled in, i can spend more time on cosplay...

oh, and the ppl there are quite nice and casual. There's a lotta chinese ppl (particularily canton pride seems to be going around) and so i can small talk with people. One lady offered me a cat (orange tabby), which i was like DO WANT but my mom was like NO. D: i bet it looked something like this

    kyuuuuute.

but now we might get a bunny, which is not as cool, but hey, a pet's a pet, rite? :P my mom will only allow a caged animal (no free roamers), and no rats, so bunny or guinea pig is the only options, i feel...and she thinks bunnies are cute, so that's the biggest possibility.

(something like this. i think she thinks lop-eared with spots on their nose are no good)

anyhoo, aside from MJ dying this week, the only really interesting stuff i've been up to is playing lego rock raiders (it used to keep freezing, so for the week after schlitterbahn, i spent a lot of time on that game >>; but now i have to limit myself. it's so much fun tho! making little lego people drill and build a base and complete missions :D) and  i've recently have been trying to learn more about k-pop girl groups...mostly SNSD, since i watched their Genie MV. I've also occasionally glanced at anti-SNSD stuff, and was just learning some background history, but really, mostly had to spend most of my time trying to figure out who is who -_-
but seriously, like most of them look like generic asian girls, so it's really hard to pick them out...and not like their fashion stands out! gah, wearing uniforms and changing your hair makes it REALLY hard to notice individuals. and i swear, like there's 2 sets of triplets >.< it's not like anime, where they keep their hair the same! gah. But i think i finally figured out. But even now...still...tough :T but i like Gee and Genie, probably better than tell me and so hot (those were never like super favorites of mine)

I also just looked up some WG stuff, too, but then i saw some phtooshoot pictures, or something...like, when i saw the SNSD before-after pictures, i was like wow, they had to go thru a lot and some aren't even that amazingly pretty (kinda plain, i think), but then i look at WG, and...they're not that pretty, are they? mebe like Sun Ye, I like her looks, and she looks natural too. But i saw some picture of some BBQ Chicken photoshoot they did, and Yubin, who was REALLY COOL as rapper, looked so...childish. like what was with her hairstyle (bangs in a tiny ponytail pointing back), i do that when i'm at HOME and no one's looking at me D: and so hee looks really young too. It's probably her eyebrows and small eyes and face...

Mebe that's why i like 2ne1, since they're not like pretty (actually, dara's REALLY pretty) but like they're all unique and not like really running on their looks, like SNSD are like.

PHEW really long post guys, sorry D: i have been neglecting xanga...
